Dallas Cowboys defensive end Randy Gregory is certainly one of the most intriguing free agents in the 2022 cycle. Gregory is capable of contributing to any team on the defensive side of the ball, though it remains to be seen if he can avoid injuries and off-field issues in a bid to play an entire season in 2022.

Gregory previously concluded the 2021 season by tying his career-best tally of six sacks to go with 19 combined tackles and an interception in 12 games played. After completing a one-year contract with the Cowboys, several teams will surely go after the services of Gregory in order to strengthen their defensive unit moving forward.

With that said, let's take a look at the three best landing spots for the veteran defensive end if he moves on from Dallas.

Randy Gregory Free Agency Landing Spots

3. Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars had a bumpy 2021 season, but now they have a new head coach on board in Doug Pederson after the Urban Meyer debacle. Aside from QB Trevor Lawrence, almost all the other position groups on the Jaguars need an upgrade in the upcoming offseason.

Fortunately for them, they have sufficient flexibility to make significant moves as they currently have over $56 million in cap space, per Spotrac. They can surely make a run for Randy Gregory with that amount of money at their disposal.

Aside from that, they also have a budding pair of defenders who are looking to make a leap next season in Josh Allen and Myles Jack. Gregory's potential arrival to the team would elevate their defensive front and help them improve from being one of the worst defensive teams in the league.

Jacksonville may not be the most appealing destination for a free agent, but Gregory can get paid and potentially be a cornerstone on a rebuilding team if he decides to play for the Jaguars in 2022.

2. Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks' defensive unit struggled in 2021, especially when it came to pass defense. This represented a far cry from the Legion of Boom days.

After this less-than-stellar showing, the Seahawks are now trying to go in a new direction after firing defensive coordinator Ken Norton Jr. and defensive passing game coordinator Andre Curtis in the offseason. Seattle could look to add Gregory, who would be a pillar of their revamped defense under the leadership of new DC Clint Hurtt.

Additionally, they also have the flexibility to do so as they currently have upward of $35 million in cap space for 2022. Landing Gregory would rejuvenate the Seahawks' defense and allow them to get back to the playoffs sooner than later.

1. Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills' defense had an impressive outing in the 2021 season, though they could potentially lose a crucial member of their defensive front. At 33 years old, defensive end Jerry Hughes is the longest-tenured player on the team and is also expected to be an unrestricted free agent in the upcoming offseason.

Opting to retire after 12 seasons in the league is certainly on the table for the veteran pass rusher at this point in his career. In anticipation of his decision, the Bills could look to acquire a much younger replacement in Randy Gregory, who has already proven his capability to be a vital contributor in the trenches.

Undeniably, the AFC is filled with several young quarterbacks who will only get better in the years to come. Having a stopper like Gregory would give the Bills an important weapon given his abilities to generate sacks against opposing gunslingers.

Unfortunately, the Bills are currently handicapped by being slightly over the cap. If they manage to free up some cap space and successfully acquire Gregory in the offseason, that would help them get over the hump and into the Super Bowl.
