Luka Doncic made loud noises on the court Thursday night to lead the Dallas Mavericks to a series-tying 119-110 road win over the Oklahoma City Thunder. But a completely different “noise” after the game left even the Slovenian superstar running out of words.

While in the middle of fielding and answering questions from the media, a loud sound of a woman apparently moaning went off in the background. Doncic, of course, heard it just like everyone else did in the room, and his reaction to the noise was akin to someone who just heard an alien's footsteps on the roof. It was hilarious, to say the least.

The Mavericks star guard spent a few seconds looking lost, unable to wrap his head around the noise infiltrating the most bizarre of settings — a media room after a heated NBA playoff battle. Doncic could only bow down and cover his face before cracking up a joke that added to the comical mood in the room.

“I hope that's not live,” Doncic said as reporters cracked up in the background.

Fans react to wild postgame moment

As expected, people on the internet are having a field day talking about that wild moment. Here are some of the reactions from the corners of X (the platform formerly called Twitter).

“I have just been told this aired live on NBA TV. Ain’t no way 😭”

“Bro saw a ghost 😂”

“I have so many questions and I don’t know if I want any of them answered.”

“Was that some reporters phone accidentally on PH or real life s**t? Lol”

“Somebody gettin fired for sure 😂😂😂.”

“This must be investigated man no way.”

“No way dudes are that h***y at a playoff game😭😭😭”

“WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT.”

“Bros thinking about which teammate it was. Put his head down in disgust when he realized who 😭”

“They clowning. OKC locker room in the comments 😂💀😂💀.”

“Who celebrating the win like that😂”

“I see someone in OKC bringing that Thunder. Congrats”

It would be interesting to know who was the culprit behind that scandalous sound. In any case, what matters the most to Doncic and the Mavericks is that they're flying back home for Games 3 and 4 after successfully stealing a win in enemy territory.

Okay, so back to business…

The Mavs' win in Oklahoma City had Doncic rebounding from a poor performance in Game 1 in which he went just 6/19 from the field and 1/8 from behind the arc to finish with just 19 points. In Game 2, Doncic was way more efficient on offense. He made 11 of his 21 field goal attempts and hit five of eight shots from the 3-point region. He was not able to get to the line a lot, with only two free-throw chances, but he had 10 rebounds, seven assists, and a block plus three steals in 41 minutes. Also impressive was his committing just a single turnover.

So far in the playoffs, Doncic is averaging 28.4 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 9.1 assists per game.

Meanwhile, PJ Washington provided ample scoring support behind Doncic, as he dropped 29 points to go with 11 boards to also soften the impact of a rare poor offensive night from Kyrie Irving. The veteran guard only scored nine points on 2/8 shooting, though, he dished out 11 assists and was a plus-9 in the game.
