The Atlanta Falcons have several pressing matters on their hands in the 2022 NFL offseason. However, perhaps their biggest decision rests with the fate of star wide receiver Calvin Ridley, who has been the subject of recent trade rumors. Ridley only appeared in five games for the Falcons, citing mental health issues as reason for his absence. After the season, rumors began to swirl, with some NFL insiders suggesting that a change of scenery could be best for both parties. The Falcons have insisted that they remain committed to helping Ridley through the situation no matter what, though would they still if their help for the star wideout involved a trade? That remains to be seen, though there is no harm in speculating about possible fits for Ridley were he to be dealt in the offseason. That said, here are the three best trade destinations for Calvin Ridley.

3. Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins are certainly an interesting fit for Calvin Ridley. Miami is armed with cap space and could have even more if they let several veterans walk, such as wideout DeVante Parker. If the Dolphins made such a move, that would open up a wide receiver spot on the roster for someone to fill. Why not Ridley? The Dolphins may opt to let free agent tight end Mike Gesicki walk, which would mean that quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who the franchise is committed to, would need another weapon. By trading for Ridley, the Dolphins would immediately feature one of the best wide receiver corps in the NFL with the Falcons star, Jaylen Waddle and Will Fuller, provided he's healthy. Miami could then commit to building an offensive line through free agency and the draft to go along with their dangerous receiving corps.

2. Jaguars

The Jaguars desperately need a number-one wideout. Currently on the roster are the likes of D.J. Chark, Marvin Jones and Leviska Shenault. All are talented, but none can command the respect of a defense like a true alpha wideout. Ridley, on the other hand, showed that he can do just that back in 2020, his last full season. The Falcons star exploded onto the scene with over 1300 yards, a career-high, doing some of his damage without fellow star receiver Julio Jones in the lineup. If Jacksonville is serious about upgrading the receiver spot- which they should be- they should be willing to part ways with some of their draft capital to acquire Ridley. He would instantly give Trevor Lawrence a number-one wideout to utilize in the passing game, something Lawrence didn't have during his less-than-stellar rookie season. If Ridley becomes available, the Jaguars need to pounce.

1. Eagles

Each of these teams could use a number-one wideout. However, perhaps none of them need one quite like the Eagles do. Philly's offense featured talented rookie DeVonta Smith at the receiver spot- and little else. The Eagles' run-heavy offense relied on two primary targets- Smith and tight end Dallas Goedert. Even for a team that emphasizes the running game, that is not sustainable. The Eagles have been linked to Seattle Seahawks star quarterback Russell Wilson in trade rumors this offseason. However, a case can be made that the cost to acquire Wilson wouldn't be worth it in the end. However, the same cannot be said for Ridley. The Falcons star almost certainly wouldn't cost a first-round pick, let alone multiple firsts. He would be the number-one wideout that the Eagles were lacking last year. Calvin Ridley's presence would be great for Smith- and vice-versa. It would be a win-win move for Philly.
