What an offseason it has been for the Las Vegas Raiders. The front office has made strides in building the team and things are looking up for this franchise. After trading for Davante Adams, Vegas is ready to compete with anybody. However, there is still a bit of a concern on the defensive side of the ball, specifically within the front seven. For that reason, we look at three potential trade targets to round out the Raiders' 2022 roster.

Although the AFC West is the most stacked division in the league, the Raiders are still bound to make some noise in the upcoming season. To improve their chances of competing though, the front office should highly consider making a trade or two. Considering most of the defense is solid, Las Vegas should aim to bring in a talented defensive lineman to help in the trenches.

The Raiders don't need a superstar talent, as the pass rush on the outside should be elite. They just need someone who can compliment Maxx Crosby and Chandler Jones on the defensive line. If Las Vegas does it the right way, the front office can reel in a defensive tackle who is set to be a free agent next offseason, giving them the opportunity to sign this player for the long term.

With that said, here are three trade targets for the Raiders to complete their 2022 roster.

Raiders Trade Targets To Complete 2022 Roster

3. Malcom Brown

Considering the Jacksonville Jaguars aren't close to becoming a playoff contender soon, the Raiders could swoop in and acquire a veteran defensive tackle right now. Malcom Brown is in his late 20s and in the final year of his contract. He could truly make an impact in Las Vegas, as Brown would be the perfect compliment to Maxx Crosby and Chandler Jones.

Malcom Brown would likely be competing for a starting spot within the Raiders' defensive line. He has a solid chance to be one of the main defensive tackles within the scheme. Brown would improve the rush defense immensely while providing pressure up the middle on pass plays. Las Vegas should have their eyes set on him and give the Jaguars a call as soon as possible.

2. Poona Ford

Although Pete Carroll claims the Seattle Seahawks are going to compete for the playoffs, chances are they won't. The roster still needs help and adding talented prospects is what this franchise needs. With that in mind, the Raiders could send a draft pick to Seattle in exchange for Poona Ford. Seattle receives draft compensation to help with their rebuild, while Las Vegas acquires a decent defensive tackle to improve the trenches.

Ford would be a tremendous addition to the Raiders' defense. He hasn't been the most consistent player so far in his career, but having better players around him would likely improve his game. Las Vegas would have a better defensive line and have the opportunity of re-signing Poon Ford to a long-term deal at the end of the season.

1. Jarran Reed

This is a trade that could actually come to fruition. The Green Bay Packers recently drafted Devonte Wyatt, who is a prospect defensive tackle with a ton of potential. Jarran Reed has suddenly found himself in the backup role and would benefit from finding a new home. For that reason, the Raiders should inquire Green Bay about Reed's availability.

Similar to the other two trade targets on this list, Jarran Reed could greatly improve his play in Las Vegas. He'd have the opportunity to compete for a starting role, which benefits the defense altogether. With how stacked the AFC West is right now, the Raiders should call up the Packers immediately in an attempt to improve the defensive line. If they can do that, then this franchise could turn some heads throughout the 2022 season.
