The world-famous Old Trafford will be the scene another huge game in the Premier League. Manchester United will be the host to Everton, as both teams look to continue their good start of the season. United, after a busy summer of world-class additions, has won four games out of the six, losing one and drawing one in the process. The loss came last week after Bruno Fernandes did not convert a stoppage-time penalty versus Aston Villa. The draw was with Southampton, a team that is definitely a landmine for big teams this season.

Everton, on the other hand, has the same record. Their loss came also from Aston Villa, but they conceded three, rather than just one. Their one draw comes from a thrilling game against Leeds United, where they failed to keep the lead, even though they had two of them during the game.

Now, these two will clash, and here are three bold predictions for the upcoming game!

Man United v Everton predictions

Ronaldo will score…again

While he did take a short break at the weekend versus Villa, Cristiano Ronaldo has been on a tear. The Portuguese forward is simply in love with scoring and that did not stop when he re-joined Manchester United. He scored three in three games in the Premier League and added one in the Champions League versus Young Boys.

Now, he faces an Everton defense that already conceded seven, which is the most in the top six of the Premier League. Additionally, this is the first bigger game where he can show off. Everton is not a huge team, obviously, but their clash versus United is still considered a derby. Ronaldo thrives in exactly these conditions when he knows the world, or at least England, will be watching.

The penalty Fernandes missed will likely mean that Ronaldo will have the honor of taking them in the future. While all statements from the Red Devils' players have been affirmative to Bruno, it still feels unnatural to see anyone else taking the penalty when Ronaldo is right there. That will likely mean more goals for the Portuguese and with his play, he might even get one in this game.

Everton will be exposed against tougher opposition

If teams that Everton beat are looked at, objectively, the Merseyside team did not have a single tough opponent. Of course, Aston Villa can be considered tough, but that is the only game they lost. Everton beat Southampton, Brighton, Burnley, and Norwich. These three teams are going to fight for relegation and they are nowhere near Manchester United.

This is still a fun squad, even without James Rodriguez who went to Qatar. Dominic Calvert-Lewin is a top prospect, while Andros Townsend seems to still have it. Summer addition Demarai Grey has also been great for them and on the other wing, Alex Iwobi is still a good squad player.

However, all of this is not the quality for a top-four finish. Everton will simply be overmatched in big games and this is one of them. Of course, they have a chance, since they do have the same point tally as Manchester United. Still, the lack of real, top-level Premier League quality is concerning for Rafa Benitez and his team.

Jadon Sancho will do something…finally

It just seems like the type of game where a player like Sancho wakes up. The massive prospect that came from Borussia Dortmund for $100 million this summer has been fairly quiet. He still does not have a goal to his name or even an assist. However, Everton might just be the opponent where something is done.

The patience of Manchester United fans seems to be thin, mostly due to the amount of money put into this youngster. However, the Englishman is still 21 and this is his first season. If the clock is turned back to 2003, while not for the same money, Ronaldo was brought in from Portugal and he only scored four in his first season. It took him four Premier League seasons to even break the 10-goal barrier, and he turned out as a pretty good footballer.

Sancho will just need time, investment through playing time, and adjustment to the Premier League. He is not of physical stature like other wingers, so he can be bullied. But, so was one Portuguese winger when he came over. Nothing is stopping Sancho from bulking up. While he was paid a ton of money, that is reason enough for Manchester United fans to give him time and the necessary support. If he is given that, Sancho will be a world-breaking forward because he has the talent.
