The Philadelphia Eagles were able to come away with an impressive 40-29 win against the New Orleans Saints. Philadelphia now moves to 5-6 on the season and has won three of their last four games.

Philadelphia's record might not show it but they have played some good football this season. If a few plays here and there went a different way the Eagles could very well be contending for a playoff spot right now. They have exceeded many people's expectations coming into the season. Most people expected they would be a 2-3 win team. There are some important takeaways from the Eagles win in Week 11, let's take a look at three big ones.

Eagles week 11 takeaways

3. The offense looked the best it has all year

The past few years have been rough for the Philadelphia Eagles offense. They've had a few different offensive coordinators but it looks like Shane Steichen might be their best one. The Eagles were able to put up 40 points against a talented Saints defense. Jalen hurts was able to come through with three rushing touchdowns en route to the victory.

This is a young Philadelphia offense. If Jalen Hurts, Devonta Smith and Miles Sanders can keep developing the way that they have been, the future in Philadelphia is bright.

Weeks like this will surely give the Eagles some confidence going into the next few seasons. The youngsters have to be happy with how they played.

2. As crazy as it sounds, the playoffs are not out of reach

It might seem far-fetched but it's really not. The Eagles are 5-6 but the Cowboys are 7-2. The inevitable Cowboys crash is going to come at some point and there will be no better time for it to happen than now for Philadelphia.

Philadelphia has a very favorable schedule coming up as they are taking on the New York Giants twice, the New York Jets, and the Washington Football Team twice. These are five games that Philadelphia could walk away with a victory. If they take care of business and improve to 11-6, the chance of making the playoffs are in their favor.

It's definitely going to be tough for them to win five games in a row but if they take care of business and play the way that they can, it's definitely a possibility.

1. Miles Sanders is an elite running back

It's unclear what the Philadelphia coaching staff needs to see out of this kid to give him more touches. He only has 63 rushes on the year which is the 46 most in the NFL. Every time that he has the ball he has proven that he is an elite running back and he did that again against the Saints. With only 16 carries on Sunday, he was able to put up 94 yards for the Eagles.

If Philadelphia wants to expand their offense, they need to give Miles Sanders the ball more often.

The future in Philadelphia is bright and there is a chance that they can make something out of their season this year. Winning five games in a row in the NFL is definitely not an easy task but crazier things have happened in Philadelphia.
