Trevor Lawrence is one of the most hyped players heading into his NFL rookie season. The highly talented quarterback from Clemson will be heading to the Jacksonville Jaguars and fans should be excited to have him.

While Gardner Minshew was a very fun quarterback to have, Lawrence has the talent to be a Hall of Famer. Jaguars fans should be excited to have future star quarterback for many years to come.

Jacksonville hasn't been able to get back to the playoffs since their 2017 AFC title game appearance. The elite defense and run game wasn't enough to outlast Brady and the Patriots back then. The Jaguars took a step in the right direction by getting Lawrence and he will look to lead them to their first Super Bowl appearance.

For the first time in a while, the Jaguars will have a franchise quarterback they can trust in the big moments. They will need to give him help on offense and defense but having a franchise quarterback for the future will help the team drastically.

In order to maximize Lawrence's potential the Jags will need to prioritize putting together a strong offensive line to protect him. Lawrence may be a big and strong quarterback however, in the NFL a solid offensive line helps lengthen a quarterbacks career. Take Andrew Luck for example, a very talented quarterback who had a weak offensive line throughout most of career retired early due to injury concerns. If the Jags want to keep Lawrence happy and healthy, getting him a good offensive line will go a long way.

The Jaguars hired a new head coach in the off-season as they brought in former college coach Urban Meyer. Meyer won three national championships including two with Florida and one with Ohio State. Meyer has always been able to coach well in big games and stay calm throughout them. His offensive schemes have also always been strong and this should help Lawrence develop easily into the NFL. While Lawrence and Meyer both do not have any NFL experience, they are both extremely talented and will easily transition to the league.

3. Lawrence breaks rookie TD record with Jaguars

Perhaps the most talented quarterback coming out of the draft in the last decade, Lawrence will break the rookie touchdown record. This record was broken last season by Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert as he had 36 total touchdowns. With Meyer's offensive scheme for the Jaguars, Lawrence should be able to transition very easily and the offense will revolve around him.  It may seem like a tough record to break but the highly talented Trevor Lawrence has the ability to get it done.

2. Lawrence wins offensive rookie of the year

Trevor Lawrence didn't win a Heisman Trophy in his college career but has a great shot at winning offensive rookie of the year. Justin Herbert won the award last season with the help of his very talented receiving group. Lawrence is set up  similarly to succeed in his rookie season on the Jaguars with some young talent at the receiver position, including DJ Chark and Laviska Shenault, while having a budding star running back, James Robinson.

Lawrence will be able to relieve some stress with the Jaguars through the running game with Robinson. The undrafted rookie had a tremendous rookie season where he rushed for over 1,000 yards and had 10 total touchdowns. The run game will remain strong this season and with the addition of Lawrence, Robinson will take a step to the next level. Lawrence and Robinson will be a great duo on offense for years to come.

1. Lawrence leads Jaguars to AFC Wild Card Game

It may seem like a stretch for the Jaguars to go from 1-15 to the AFC Wild Card Game the next season but Lawrence makes that much of an impact. He has a rare and unique ability to bring out the best in all of his teammates. Both the defense and offense should see a major improvement this season but it won't be enough for them to win the division.

This would be a drastic shift to go from the worst team in the league to making the playoffs for the Jaguars, but the Washington Football Team went from the second worst team to wild card team this past season.

The Jaguars will make the playoffs but will likely go through some ups and downs throughout the season. The coaching of Meyer and the play of Lawrence will catapult them in a season of dramatic growth and improvement.

However the season plays out, what's for sure is the Jaguars have a quarterback for the future.
