The Philadelphia 76ers took a firm stranglehold on their first-round series with the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday, blowing them out for the second straight game. With a 2-0 lead heading up North, the Sixers are in a prime position to keep rolling. While the Raps did come out firing in Game 2, Philly quickly slowed them down and started to dominate, with Joel Embiid's 31 points leading the way for Doc Rivers' squad. Between Philadelphia's offensive brilliance, stout defense, and Toronto's dismal shot-making, this could be a done deal.

Here are 3 reasons the Sixers will clean up the series in four games after back-to-back impressive showings at home.

3 reasons the Sixers will sweep the Raptors

Joel Embiid

The Cameroonian big man was limited to just 19 points in Game 1, but Tyrese Maxey went off and destroyed Toronto. Nevertheless, Embiid bounced back with authority on Monday night, despite the Raptors playing extremely physical defense on him. He finished with 31 points and 11 rebounds while going 12 for 14 from the free-throw line. The Sixers superstar took his bumps and bruises, but the Raps simply couldn't stop him. Now that he has found his rhythm, it's going to be extremely hard for Toronto to stop Embiid. It didn't matter if they double-teamed him, he was still finding a way to get to the cup and finish or drain a pull up and mid-range jumper.

Also, Scottie Barnes was one of Toronto's players who could keep up with Embiid from a physical standpoint, and of course, he's now injured. The center is going to keep showing out and propel the Sixers to two more wins on the road.

Philly shooting the lights out

The Sixers have been playing extremely solid basketball on both ends of the floor. It does help that the Raptors are certainly struggling, but in particular, Philly is thriving from downtown. They were seventh in the Association during the season with a 36.4% three-point clip but through the first two games, the Sixers are shooting nearly 50% from deep. Whether it's Maxey, Danny Green, Georges Niang, or Tobias Harris, this group is doing a tremendous job of finding clean looks and Toronto simply has had no answer.

With the Sixers thriving in this particular category, it wouldn't be a surprise to see them continue to get the ball in the hands of their shooters and let it go. It's been a key part of their success so far in the series.

Tyrese Maxey

Not James Harden, but Tyrese Maxey is the co-star to Embiid so far. The second-year guard is playing like a man possessed, posting a stat line of 23 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists in Game 2 after balling out for 38 in the series opener. The Sixers youngster is fully proving that he is a star in the making as he continues to pick apart the Raptors. To be frank, they've had zero answers for his ability to score at all three levels and get his teammates involved. Maxey's versatile skillset is on full display. Can't find a clean look? He'll collapse the defense and dish out a dime. Maxey is clearly ready for the big stage and thriving at an all-time high right now.

His quickness in transition is also overwhelming the Raptors. Between him and Embiid, Toronto looks absolutely cooked. Expect the Sixers guard to put together a couple more big games in the Six.
