The Michigan football team recently wrapped up spring practices as they had their spring game a couple weeks ago. It was exciting to see the Wolverines in action for the first time since winning the national championship because of all the new faces on the team. Michigan lost a lot of talent from that national title team, so it's now next man up. One player that could have a breakout season is defensive end Enow Etta.

Michigan football fans have been excited about Enow Etta since the day he committed. He was a highly-rated recruit and his size and athleticism should make him a beast along the defensive line.

Etta was a true freshman for Michigan last season and he didn't see a ton of action. He had just one tackle on the season as he was deep down on the depth chart, but after losing a lot to the NFL, he is going to see the field more this season.

One thing that Etta is focusing on this offseason is versatility. He knows that being able to do a lot within his game is going to help him down the road, so that's been important for him this offseason.

“The coaches have told me that being versatile will help me, especially as the years go by and it's time for the draft, versatility will get my name higher up on the boards,” Enow Etta said to the media after the spring game. “So I'm just trying to take in as much as I can and hopefully one day it will pay off. Right now I'm kind of learning everything at once, but I think versatility, doing things that not a lot of guys can do will help me.”

Etta is expected to be a big-time playmaker for the Wolverines, and his name will likely be called more this season.

Enow Etta has just the one season under his belt in his college football career, so he is still learning a lot of different things and experimenting with his game. This is going to a big offseason for him in terms of finding his strengths, and right now, he's feeling good at tackle.

“I feel really comfortable at tackle,” Etta said. “Nose is a little hard because there's a lot of double teams coming, but at tackle it feels more natural.”

This is going to be an exciting season for Etta, and he is taking the next step with Michigan during spring ball. He is hoping to continue to move forward when the season rolls around as well. Etta has a bright future with the Wolverines.
