The Green Bay Packers are coming off another disappointing playoff exit and are looking to bounce back. There have been some changes to the roster with star receiver Davante Adams traded to the Las Vegas Raiders. Green Bay was able to retain back-to-back NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers on a deal that will keep him with the Packers for the remainder of his career.

Rodgers being back in Title Town keeps Green Bay in the Super Bowl conversation. While the wide receiver core doesn't have a solidified star, they have a solid committee. In the draft, the Packers selected receiver Christian Watson in the second round, who can have an impact as a rookie. They drafted Romeo Doubs and Samori Toure later in the draft to add to the receiving core.

Green Bay signed Sammy Watkins in free agency, who has shown promise throughout his career but has been unable to stay healthy. The Packers also have second-year receiver Amari Rodgers along with Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb.

While no one in this group is a star, they can all contribute with their different styles of play. This group of individuals could make something special happen with Rodgers under center.

The Packers' defense and special teams look to improve drastically in the 2022 season. Green Bay selected two defensive players in the first round, with linebacker Quay Walker and defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt. Walker and Wyatt add to a very talented defense. On paper, the Packers are one of the top defensive units in football.

Packers fans know their special teams unit was a big reason why they were defeated in the Divisional Round last season. Brian Gutekunst and the front office addressed this by hiring Raiders interim head coach Rich Bisaccia, who was hired as the Special Teams Coordinator.

Green Bay has a lot to look forward to as this upcoming season is promising. With that said, here are four way too early predictions for the Packers in the 2022 NFL season.

Packers 2022 Early Predictions

4. Packers special teams finish top 10

Gutekunst and head coach Matt LaFleur showed how dedicated the Packers are to winning by acquiring Bisaccia to coach the special teams unit. Bisaccia is an experienced coach who led the Raiders to a playoff run as interim head coach after Jon Gruden was fired.

Green Bay's special teams ranked last in the NFL last season. Bisaccia's Raiders were just outside the top ten. The Packers personnel is more equipped to perform well on special teams in the upcoming season. While special teams isn't viewed as important as other facets of the game, an improvement on that end will be crucial to Green Bay making a run at the Super Bowl.

3. Packers finish as the one seed

Although Green Bay lost a key playmaker in Adams, they still have the talent to finish as the top seed in the NFC. The Packers have finished as the one seed the last two seasons. Rodgers and the talented roster have been a significant part of that, but the weaker division has also played a part.

The Detroit Lions have consistently been a bottom feeder in the NFL, trying to rebuild their roster. The Chicago Bears have gone through ups and downs, while the Minnesota Vikings have posed the strongest threat to Green Bay. Even then, the Vikings haven't been able to take down the Packers for the division.

With one of the easier divisions to get through, the Packers should be able to secure the one seed for a third straight season.

2. Packers' defense ranks best in the league

It's hard not to love what Green Bay has done with their defense. The Packers were a consensus top ten defense in the league last season, despite having a few holes. They lacked a defensive tackle next to Kenny Clark and used a first-round pick to select Wyatt.

Green Bay was missing a second inside linebacker next to De'Vondre Campbell, and they drafted Walker. The rookies Walker and Wyatt bring unique skillsets to help the Packers' defense take a step up.

They have perhaps the best cornerback trio in the NFL with Jaire Alexander, Rasul Douglas, and Eric Stokes. Green Bay has Darnell Savage and Adrian Amos behind these corners at safety.

The talented Packers defense with a great defensive scheme should land them at the top of the league.

1. Packers make it to the Super Bowl

Green Bay seems to be in the Super Bowl conversation every season but comes up short. What makes this team different is the drastic improvement of the special teams unit. More depth offensively and defensively will also help the Packers take their game to the next level.

With Rodgers back and a good offseason, Green Bay is primed to make a deep run.
