The San Francisco 49ers knew full well they would have their hands full with the Seattle Seahawks in Week 10. Unfortunately, their task got more difficult without wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders.

Sanders has been ruled out for the rest of the game with a rib injury, via 49ers Twitter:

49ers injury update: D.J. Jones and Emmanuel Sanders both downgraded to out. Azeez Al-Shaair (head) is being evaluated.

The loss of Sanders undoubtedly deals a significant blow to this offense. He has easily established himself as the No. 1 option in the passing game after being acquired in exchange for 2020 third- and fourth-round picks prior to the Oct. 29 trade deadline.

Sanders wasted no time in providing the 49ers with plenty of bang for their buck with touchdowns in his first two games. He had registered just two receptions for 24 yards before having to exit the game with an injury.

San Francisco had already had enough trouble trying to move the ball against this stingy defense. Their attempts to establish a strong ground game early on were quelled by Seattle's stout front thus far. As a result, they have tried to get their rhythm going through the air with quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, however, that has been much easier said than done while playing under constant pressure.

Garoppolo will need to eventually find a way to capitalize on the stellar play of their own defense that has provided them with ample opportunities to get ahead. The onus will fall on the rest of the receiving corps to step up and fill the void, starting with Deebo Samuel
