There is a lot of speculation that the Arizona Cardinals will take Kyler Murray and San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch has made it clear that he doesn't want them to do that. The 49ers own the number two overall pick, and he also expects that there will be some calls coming to his phone if the Cardinals decide to pass on Murray.

“I would, I would,” Lynch said regarding whether he anticipates hearing from multiple teams via Pro Football Talk. “Wouldn’t you? I think there seems to be a ton of interest. And I understand, we a couple of times just threw him on up here. It’s electric stuff, it really is. Had some nightmares about, not me myself chasing him, but about us chasing him if it does fall that way. He’s pretty special.”

How Murray will do in the NFL is still a big question mark but there is no doubt that most teams are going to have issues slowing him down, especially when he takes off and runs. A lot have compared his running ability to Michael Vick and that has to be scaring a lot of general managers, not just Lynch.

The best bet scenario for the 49ers would be the Cardinals passing on him, and then if the team wants to trade back they will probably have that chance. If the Cardinals do take Murray that means the team can draft Nick Bosa and that might not be that bad after all. The first round of the draft kicks off on Thursday night.
