Former Minnesota Vikings running back Jerick McKinnon signed with the San Francisco 49ers a few offseasons ago. However, he has yet to formally suit up for San Francisco; the former Vikings standout has been plagued by various injuries ever since signing with the 49ers.

Now, with the most recent NFL offseason fully underway, McKinnon will once again have the chance to latch on in San Francisco, a team that has a slew of talented running backs on its current roster. Even so, McKinnon appears determined to make some noise for the 49ers as the veteran rusher recently posted an optimistic workout video on social media.

Originally signed to serve as the team's starting running back as sharing the workload as a member of the Vikings, McKinnon agreed to a four-year free agent contract with the 49ers. Despite not playing a single down of regular season football since signing such a deal, one that was initially worth up to $30 million, McKinnon was medically cleared at the end of last season and appears to be progressing at an optimistic pace.
