Immediately following a surprise draft night trade from the Tennessee Titans to the Philadelphia Eagles, star NFL receiver A.J. Brown is agreeing to a four-year, $100 million extension with $57 million guaranteed.

A second-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft out of the University of Mississippi, Brown quickly became the de facto #1 receiver for Ryan Tannehill and the back-to-back defending AFC South Champion Titans.

Brown is coming off a year in which Brown caught 63 receptions for 869 yards and five touchdowns in 13 games as the Titans clinched the top seed in the AFC playoffs before falling in the divisional round to the Cincinnati Bengals. The 2021 season marked the first time in Brown's three-year career that he did not cross the threshold of over 1,000 receiving yards.

The 2020 NFL season saw Brown break out for 70 receptions for 1,075 yards and five receiving touchdowns en route to Brown's first Pro Bowl of his three-year career.

For the Eagles, they now have another big-time receiver to pair with their 2021 first-round draft pick, DeVonta Smith.

Smith, the 2020 NCAA Heisman Trophy Winner, finished his rookie season with 64 receptions for 916 receiving yards and five touchdowns while serving as the number one receiver in Nick Sirianni's offense led by quarterback Jalen Hurts.

Hurts played a big part in the Eagles trading for Brown, as Hurts and Brown are reportedly close friends.

Brown was seen on Hurts' Instagram story on Sunday working out with the star receiver just one day after the third-year quarterback was in attendance at Brown's daughter's first birthday party.
