After Blake Griffin's signing with the Brooklyn Nets, Chicago Bears wide receiver Allen Robinson is apparently trying his best Adrian Wojnarowski impression by saying the Nets will acquire big man Andre Drummond.

Robinson jokingly (we assume) posted on Twitter that the Nets will then still be active around the trade deadline:

Drummond is one of the most intriguing players ahead of the March 25 NBA trade deadline. He averaged 17.5 points, 13.5 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks through 25 games with the Cleveland Cavaliers this season. However, it has been a month since he last played with the team after his camp agreed that he will not see action until he gets traded or bought out.

Meanwhile, Robinson is facing his own dilemma as contract talks with the Bears haven't progressed since last September. Despite failing to advance negotiations, the Chicago-based squad is expected to place the franchise tag on Robinson ahead of the Tuesday deadline.

If Robinson plays under the franchise tag for next season, he is projected to earn an $18 million salary in 2021. However, he thinks he has done enough in the past few seasons to warrant a long-term deal with the Bears.

The former Pro Bowler exceeded the 1,000-yard mark for the second straight season and concluded his 2020 campaign with 1,250 receiving yards and six touchdowns through 16 appearances.

Similar to Andre Drummond, Allen Robinson is expected to attract a ton of interest around the league if the Bears ultimately allow him to walk away. Nonetheless, the upcoming weeks will definitely be interesting for both of them as they seek to settle in a permanent home soon.
