Mike Trout is officially back! After missing a significant portion of the 2021 campaign due to injury, Shohei Ohtani became the talk of the town in Anaheim. Although Shohei still holds immense popularity, Trout is back and once again stealing the hearts of Angels and all MLB fans. The duo is arguably amongst the best in baseball history. Shohei is a two-way phenom who is accomplishing Babe Ruth-esque feats while Trout is arguably MLB's GOAT.

Angels' pitcher Patrick Sandoval would agree that Mike Trout is indeed the GOAT.

“It’s insane,” Sandoval declared. “He just barrels everything up. It’s fun to have him playing behind me. He’s the G.O.A.T.”

Sandoval's comments followed the Angels 4-1 victory over the Cleveland Guardians on Tuesday. Trout led the Halos to the win win a 2-3 effort with a home run, double, and 3 RBI's.

Sandoval was terrific on the mound as well. The left-hander shutdown Cleveland's offense over 7 innings while striking out 9 in the process. The Angels have now won 3 games in a row with Shohei Ohtani scheduled to start Wednesday's game against the Guardians.

Mike Trout will try to keep rolling as the season progresses. The Angels' superstar is slashing .347/.458/.776. There is a strong chance that he will be in the MVP conversation once again.

He commented on his insane start to the year.

“I’m very confident in what I do. And I have fun out there doing it. Just trying to help the team win. I’ve been playing baseball my whole life.”

Mike Trout, Shohei Ohtani, and the rest of the Angels will look to continue their winning ways on Wednesday.
