Arsenal is expected to be on the move for a striker during the summer transfer window as Mikel Arteta looks to fortify the position following the January departure of Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang to Barcelona. One player who has been tabbed as a possible transfer target for Arsenal this summer is Roma striker Tammy Abraham, who was enjoyed a sensational season in the Serie A. According to Football London, however, if Arsenal is to bring Abraham back to London, they'll need to fork over a sizeable fee.

Roma purchased Abraham from Chelsea this summer for a fee of roughly £34 million. If Arsenal hopes to bring the English international to the Emirates, they'll need to match Roma's reported £68 million ($85 million USD) asking price. That's certainly a big blow for Arsenal, though it doesn't rule out the possibility of pursuing Abraham this summer.

With Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah both expected to run out the remainder of their contracts, which expire in June, Arsenal's need for a new striker is urgent.

Abraham spent many seasons fighting to get into the first team at Chelsea, but ultimately was sent out on loan for various spells before ever getting his chance. After the Blues signed Romelu Lukaku in the summer, Abraham was deemed surplus to requirements and made the move to Roma alongside manager Jose Mourinho.

The Arsenal target has done nothing but score since arriving in Italy. Abraham has 24 goals in all competitions during his debut season at Roma, including 15 goals in the Serie-A, good for fifth in Italy's top flight. Arteta will be keen to get his hands on an attacking threat such as the 24-year-old Abraham, but it remains to be seen if Arsenal will be willing to match Roma's price tag.
