During the epic Monday Night Football matchup between the Rams and Chiefs, ESPN commentator Booger McFarland remarked that Aaron Donald was the best defender in the NFL. However, former Chicago Bears linebacker and Hall of Famer Brian Urlacher disagreed with that take and countered by saying Bears pass rusher Khalil Mack is the best in the league.

No. 52 for the Bears is absolutely fantastic and is having a standout season, but there may be a little bit of bias in Khalil Mack's corner on Urlacher's part. Rams reigning DPOY is always unbelievably good but since Mack's departure from the Oakland Raiders, he looks completely revamped in Chicago.

Mack has always been incredible as well, in Urlacher's defense, however this season he appears to be playing with a massive chip on his shoulder. Mack has eight sacks and five forced fumbles this season already, but numbers can't show his disruption he causes on every offensive play.

Aaron Donald, on the other hand, has 14.5 sacks and is even more dangerous this season now that the Los Angeles Rams have added more weapons to their pass rush attack. Donald had four sacks alone in the Rams matchup against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 6.

Both NFL stars are incredible talents and it's a matter of one's personal preference in terms of who is “better.” It is apparent that both of these players are the top two pass rushers in the league right now without a doubt. Coming from a Hall of Fame defensive player, Urlacher's opinion holds a lot of truth and is easily respected especially in his choice of player comparison.
