Chicago Bears' legend Brian Urlacher has been under a lot of fire lately. That all stems from some controversial comments he has made recently.

Those comments had to do with Urlacher calling out players for not wanting to play after the murder of Jacob Blake. And using Brett Favre playing after his father's death as a measuring stick.

He also liked social media posts lauding the Kenosha shooter/terrorist as a hero.

Obviously, this did not sit well with a large group of people. And Urlacher has been under a lot of scrutiny since then.

So how does Bears' chairman George McCaskey feel about all of this? According to Dan Wiederer of the Chicago Tribune, McCaskey thought that Urlacher was hacked.

““My first thought was maybe his account had been hacked,” McCaskey said, via Dan Wiederer of the Chicago Tribune.

“I would like to talk to him,” McCaskey said. “We haven’t connected yet. Brian is an outstanding individual. He was a great Bear, and I’ve known him for 20 years. . . . Knowing the type of person he is, I’m not going to judge him until I talk to him.””

At this point, it feels pretty safe to assume that Urlacher was not hacked. It has been a few weeks now, and if he was hacked, the linebacker probably would have come out and said that already.

However, McCaskey still wants to talk to Urlacher face-to-face about the situation before judging him. And that's more than fair. He likely wants to hear Urlacher's process and hear from him what he believes and why he believes it.

It sounds like McCaskey does not share Urlacher's beliefs in the slightest. But he wants to make sure he is not misunderstanding the linebacker before judging him too much either.

It will be interesting to see if anything comes of this. Things have felt quiet on the Urlacher front lately, so maybe we'll get some new news in that area soon enough. For now though, McCaskey does not want to be too quick to judge.
