The Chicago Bears have continued to chug ahead with their fourth straight win after topping the Minnesota Vikings 25-20 on Sunday night that has increased their grip onto of the NFC North standings.

However, second-year quarterback Mitchell Trubisky is dealing with a bothersome shoulder injury that he suffered against the Vikings that has put some questions about his availability for Thanksgivings Day game against the Detroit Lions. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Bears are optimistic about Trubisky being able to give it a go for Thursday's contest.

This is a situation that Bears will continue to monitor over the next couple of days as he's dealing with an injury that would typically need more than a couple of days to truly assess if he can give it a go on the field. However, it may come down to Trubisky's pain tolerance to play through it in what could be a pivotal game with the Lions looking to keep their playoff chances strong in the final stretch of the season.

Trubisky has provided much stability and shown some significant growth in the maturation process as a quarterback as he has passed for 2,469 yards with 20 touchdowns to nine interceptions while rushing for 363 yards and three touchdowns. He has been a huge asset in helping the Bears possess one of the league's highest-scoring offenses ranking sixth with 29.4 points per contest. His play has given Chicago the balance needed offensively to take the next step forward into being a playoff contender and possibly much further than that.

This is simply a situation that the Bears will keep a close eye on to see how Trubisky responds physically over the next couple of days. If things continue to stay the course, he should be able to take the field for Week 12 action against the Lions.
