Khalil Mack was the big addition for the Chicago Bears last season and he made their steep price well worth it. He helped lead the Bears back to the top of the NFC North division and into the playoffs. Unfortunately, the Bears were unable to beat the Philadelphia Eagles to come away with a playoff win.

Looking ahead to the 2019 NFL season, the Bears are going to need their star pass rusher to come through with another huge season.

ESPN shared their predictions for every single NFL player for the 2019 season. In those predictions, they predicted that Mack is in line to have another big season for the Bears.

Mack is projected to end up with 58 total tackles, 10 sacks, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and three defended passes. Those numbers would be very good for the Bears, who are going to go through a bit of a change defensively this season.

Vic Fangio is no longer in town and Chuck Pagano has taken his place. There have been reports that Pagano has changed a few things within the defense, but it is unknown what those changes may be. Either way, Mack is the kind of superstar that can succeed regardless of the situation.

Last season with the Bears, Mack ended up compiling 47 total tackles, 12 sacks, six forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, one interception, and four defended passes. He is one of the most feared pass rushers in the NFL and has become the captain of the Chicago defense.

Expect to see him come through with another huge season in 2019. Chicago will face tougher competition in the NFC North than they did last season and they will need everything Mack can give them.
