The Chicago Bears are looking to fill in holes in their offense due to injuries. Recently, they decided to bring in free agent halfback Lamar Miller for workouts, per ESPN's Field Yates.

The move comes obviously at the news of running back Tarik Cohen being out for the remainder of the season due to a torn ACL. Cohen had been decently productive through his first three games of the season before going down against the Atlanta Falcons during Week 3.

Majority of the snaps that were given to Cohen will now reside with halfback David Montgomery. Montgomery has been a decent option for the Bears thus far in the season, and could prove useful to newly-appointed starting quarterback Nick Foles.

Miller hasn't seen action since his campaign with the Houston Texans. Like Cohen, his season was cut short during the 2019 season due to a torn ACL he suffered in a preseason game against the Dallas Cowboys. Miller's workout won't be his for the taking alone, as it's also reported that he'll be joined by a group of running backs vying for the empty spot.

During the 2018 season, Miller was selected to his first Pro Bowl game. In that season, he rushed for 973 yards from 210 carries. He also didn't do bad as a receiver, catching 71.4 percent of his targets for one touchdown. The Bears are enjoying an undefeated season with a 3-0 record in the NFC North. Upon smelling early signs of success, they'll be looking to add someone that can continue their success in even a minimal value while not being a hinderance.
