The Chicago Bears followed up an incredible 2018 run with a very disappointing 2019 one.

In 2018, it seemed like everything was working for them. 2019 saw the offense take a serious step backwards though. And that has led to a lot of questions about the future of the offense.

Could they be making changes to personnel? Is Mitchell Trubisky's job safe at quarterback? What about head coach Matt Nagy? Will he still call plays in 2020?

Well we've got an answer for another one of those questions, as Nagy will indeed be calling plays in 2020.

That's about as straight-forward as it gets. Nagy still has the power to call plays on offense.

After such a poor showing by the offense in 2019, a lot of fans were looking for a change. However, in the Bears' defense, a lot of things went wrong last season.

Trubisky took a step backwards, but so did Trey Burton and Tarik Cohen. Meanwhile, Nagy was getting a lot of flack for his simplistic and predictable play calling. You could argue that was a product of the play on the field though.

If the players weren't executing the simpler plays, you can't really expect them to work out anything else. So Nagy might have felt handcuffed by his team's play.

At the same time though, maybe it was the play calling that was holding everyone back.

This is something that's been debated for a while now. Whose fault was it? Or was it a mixture of everyone?

Whatever the correct answer, it looks like the entire group will get another shot in 2020. Can Nagy and company turn things back around? Or will fans be fed up by Week 4?
