It's looking like Mitchell Trubisky won't be out that long after all.

According to Brad Biggs of The Chicago Tribune, the Chicago Bears quarterback could return after the Bears' Week 6 bye.

“He’s feeling good,” said Bears head coach Matt Nagy. “I felt like the last couple days he’s been in a good place. He’s been a part of all the meetings, a part of practice mentally. Because that’s just as important, staying involved mentally with your guys and with us. And now we’ll just kind of see here, again the bye comes at a unique time. Here he is, he gets injured, so here’s the bye. Now, he’s able to use this and see if he’s able to come back or not for the next game.”

Still, Nagy isn't making any guarantees.

“I hope he’s back. But I don’t know that,” he said. “It could be something where it goes longer than that. I don’t know.”

Trubisky suffered a dislocated shoulder and a slight labrum tear during the first quarter of his team's win over the Minnesota Vikings in Week 4. The good news is that the injury came in his non-throwing shoulder, so that will almost certainly expedite his timetable.

He missed his team's Week 5 loss to the Oakland Raiders, as Chase Daniel started in his place.

On the season, Trubisky has thrown for 588 yards, three touchdowns and a couple of interceptions while completing 65.1 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 81.

The Bears will host the New Orleans Saints in their next game on Oct. 20. They are currently 3-2.
