The Chicago Bears this offseason has undergone many changes to the coaching staff that saw them bring in a new head coach with Matt Nagy and offensive coordinator Mark Helfrich that has brought aboard a new offensive scheme.

This has led to second-year quarterback Mitchell Trubisky learning yet another playbook in any many offseason that he has been in the NFL. Through this point in the offseason, Trubisky has voiced that he has felt comfortable in the game plan that he believes is one that he desires to play in, according to Larry Mayer of ChicagoBears.com.

“The offense I want to run is the offense we're installing right now,” Trubisky said during an offseason appearance on NFL Network's Good Morning Football. “I really feel like I was built for this offense. It's dynamic, it's creative and it's also balanced, and that's what you want.

“We're going to get the ball out quick. We're going to deceive defenses. We're going to spread the field and we're going to get it all over to our playmakers. We're going to be balanced. We're going to play fast. We're going to be dynamic and we're going to stretch the field every which way.”

Nagy had much success with that offensive game plan with the Kansas City Chiefs that saw Pro Bowl quarterback Alex Smith put together some of the most productive campaigns of his career. The Bears are hoping to replicate that type of success with Trubisky while taking it to the next level.

Chicago has the offensive weapons in place around him with the additions of former Pro Bowl wide receiver Allen Robinson, wideout Taylor Gabriel, and tight end Trey Burton. This adds to their productive backfield of Pro Bowl running back Jordan Howard and second-year tail back Tarik Cohen.

The Bears may have a promising situation in place that could see Trubisky take the next step toward solidifying himself as the franchise quarterback while leading the team to much success in the 2018 campaign.
