The NFL stood still after hearing the terrible news about former first-round pick and current Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow as he was carted off the field on Sunday.

Burrow is out for the remainder 2020 season, but this could be an ideal time for the Bengals to address some issues on their roster and hold some guys accountable.

On the daily Locked On Bengals podcast, James Rapien and Jake Liscow discussed the devastating injury to Joe Burrow. Moreover, what the Bengals can do to hold some members of the organization accountable.

Liscow: Now, rightfully so, Bengals fans everywhere are very upset. An outpouring of support from other NFL players including Russell Wilson, Patrick Mahomes, Clyde Edwards-Helaire; Joe Burrow is a very popular guy and a lot of guys are rooting for his recovery. We are all rooting for his recovery.

For the Bengals, this is an opportunity to hold people accountable. For most of this year, offensive guard play has been atrocious for the Bengals and they continue to try the same thing. They did bring in B.J. Finney to their credit. They did try and brought in Quinton Spain to their credit and Spain started on Sunday at right guard but they continue to roll Mike Jordan out there and not that this is anyone’s fault, this really is a bit of a freak injury, but Mike Jordan got bullied hard on the day. And it was a bullrush that he lost that led to a freak injury that everyone was hoping the Bengals could avoid.
