The Cincinnati Bengals have claimed Takk McKinley off waivers from the Atlanta Falcons.

McKinley was recently waived by the Falcons, but he now has a new home in Cincinnati.

Takk McKinley appeared in four games for the Falcons this season. He racked up only one sack and five solo tackles.

The Falcons selected McKinley with the 26th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft out of UCLA. He has 17.5 career sacks and 53 solo tackles in 49 NFL games.

The Bengals traded Carlos Dunlap to the Seattle Seahawks, so McKinley could take his spot on the defensive line. Cincinnati is 2-5-1 on the season. They will most likely miss the playoffs for the fifth straight season, but this campaign is all about the development of rookie quarterback Joe Burrow.

In eight games this season, Burrow has thrown for 2,272 yards and 11 touchdowns while completing 67.0 percent of his passes. The Bengals' two wins have come against the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans.

The Tennessee win was a really good one for Burrow since the Titans are one of the better teams in the NFL.

Cincinnati is hoping that McKinley can jumpstart his career with them after putting up underwhelming numbers with the Falcons. Sometimes, a change of scenery is just what a player needs to get his pro career on the right track.

The Bengals will be underdogs in Week 10, as they will face the undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers.
