The Cincinnati Bengals poor start to the season isn’t sitting well with the franchise’s executives, so it's just a matter of time before the Bengals’ front office give the boot to someone on the team. Unfortunately for offensive coordinator Ken Zampese, he’s the one who was handed the first pink slip if the season by the Bengals’ management.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport’s sources, Zampese was dismissed just after the Bengals lost to the Houston Texans last Thursday, 13-9.

What obviously made Zampese’s seat so much hotter was the fact that Cincinnati failed to record a touchdown in both losses to the Baltimore Ravens (20-0) and to the Texans.

Clearly, it’s easy to make a scapegoat out of Zampese, as the Bengals’ offense hasn't matched Cincinnati’s much decent defense that has allowed just 16.6 points per game and currently is tops in the NFL against the pass with only 104.5 passing yards allowed per contest.

Taking over Zampese’s job is quarterbacks coach Bill Lazor.

The Bengals are hoping this move would be the solution to their offensive woes. They have the Green Bay Packers on their plate in Week 3.
