Ryan Finley's second start under center for the Cincinnati Bengals did not exactly go well.

In what ended up being a 17-10 loss to the Oakland Raiders, the rookie quarterback completed just 13 of his 31 throws for 115 yards and an interception, good for a passer rating of 39.

Through two starts this season overall, Finley has thrown for 282 yards, a touchdown and a couple of picks while completing 47.5 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 52.8.

So yeah. The results have not been impressive.

However, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor is sticking with Finley for his team's Week 12 matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

“Ryan is our starter this week for Pittsburgh,” Taylor said, according to John Fay of The Cincinnati Enquirer. “I have a hard time looking beyond that. We feel like he’s going to give us an opportunity to win this week.”

Finley usurped Andy Dalton as the starter in Week 11, and while Cincinnati was not winning any games with Dalton, it seems hard to believe that it has a better chance to win with Finley.

That being said, with the Bengals in rebuilding mode, Taylor and Co. do need to at least see what Finley has in order to determine if they can count on him as a potential quarterback of the future.

“I’m encouraged by what his approach has been the last few weeks and the steps he’s taking,” added Taylor. “It’s not always going to show up in every rep in every single game. I feel comfortable with where we’re at with him.”

Cincinnati chose Finley, who played his collegiate football at North Carolina State, in the fourth round of the NFL Draft back in April.

The Bengals are 0-10 on the season.
