The San Francisco 49ers defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 26-23 in overtime in a wild football game. In the win, 49ers tight end George Kittle dominated the Bengals defense. He reeled in 13 catches for 151 yards and a receiving touchdown. After the game, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor had an honest take on Kittle's performance. NBC Sports' Michael David Smith detailed Taylor's assessment.

“When a guy is that explosive, and that big, that good of hands, that catch radius, he makes a lot of plays. And I promise you, we tried like hell to take him away, and he just finds a way to make those plays,” Taylor said.”

Apparently the Bengals tried to focus their defense on Kittle, but it did not seem to matter.

Kittle missed three games earlier this season due to a strained calf. However, since he returned he has been on a tear. Kittle has 530 yards and six receiving touchdowns in the six games since his return. Over his last two games, he has been putting up astronomical numbers. Kittle has 332 yards receiving with three scores.

The Bengals trailed by 14 points with under 10 minutes remaining. Quarterback Joe Burrow brought his team back with two touchdown passes to rookie wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase, sending the game to overtime.

After kicking a field goal, 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo led his team down the field and found Brandon Aiyuk for the game-winning 12 yard touchdown pass.

The loss dropped the Bengals to 7-6 on the season, missing out on a chance to take the lead in the AFC North.
