One of the key matchups in Super Bowl LVI is the Cincinnati Bengals offensive line trying to slow down Aaron Donald and the Los Angeles Rams pass rush. Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan addressed that particular matchup, expressing confidence in his guys.

Callahan pointed out that the Bengals have already faced some ferocious pass rushers this season. They beat T.J. Watt, Cam Heyward and the Pittsburgh Steelers, as well as Chris Jones and the Kansas City Chiefs.

What really brings this matchup into focus is the AFC Divisional Round matchup against the Tennessee Titans. Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was sacked nine times in that game. That tied an NFL post season record. Despite the sacks, Cincinnati still upset the top-seeded Titans thanks to three interceptions thrown by Ryan Tannehill.

The Bengals might need to create the same turnovers as they did that Sunday. Donald and the Rams defensive line is playing as well as they have all season. The mid-season acquisition of future Hall of Fame defensive end Von Miller has payed dividends. Miller has seen more one-on-one than he his used to because of all of the attention Donald draws inside.

Callahan does not appear fazed, saying “They’re battle tested, they’ve played in tough games, they’ve managed, they’ve made mistakes, they’ve given up sacks, and they just keep coming back and fighting. That’s all you can ask for at this point in the year is for those guys to keep playing as hard as they can for as long as it takes to win.” NBC Sports' Josh Alper quoted Callahan.
