A.J. Green has failed to get on the same page as rookie Joe Burrow this season, but Sunday may kickstart a connection between the two. While Burrow has impressed in his first year with the Cincinnati Bengals, he converted his first touchdown with Green on Sunday versus the Washington Football Team.

When Burrow took the snap, he realized Washington's defense was in man-coverage, giving Green a chance to make a play on the ball. Amid pressure from oncoming defenders, Burrow delivered a perfect pass to the outside to Green, giving them their first touchdown together.

Coming into Sunday's contest, Green was struggling to build a rapport with Burrow, catching only 31 of his 68 targets for 316 yards. Just last week, Green had zero receptions on five targets against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Despite his underwhelming numbers thus far, Green's touchdown on Sunday could spark a strong second half of the season for the veteran wideout with the Bengals.
