Joe Burrow sees that the Cincinnati Bengals' keen depth at the wide receiver position has been instrumental in their success on offense.

In speaking during a press conference ahead of the Bengals’ upcoming 2022 AFC Championship Game clash against the Kansas City Chiefs, Burrow went in-depth on why the team’s wide receiver corps is more than just rookie wideout Ja’Marr Chase.

“That’s what makes our receiving room great,” Burrow said. “Not only is every single person in that room able to have a game like that, but they don’t get upset if they’re not the guy with that game. Ja’Marr can go for 0 yards and Tee and TB (Tyler Boyd) combine for 300 and Ja’Marr will be just as happy as if he had a 250 yard game.

“That’s very unique to us, and I don’t know if a lot of receiving rooms in the league have that. That’s what makes those guys great.”

While Chase has garnered much of the attention for his standout rookie campaign so far, the Bengals have also had other talents from their wide receiver depth chart step up to the occasion as well this season. Both Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd each recorded 50-plus receptions and 800-plus receiving yards in regular season play.

The two versatile wideouts have remained as keen go-to targets for Burrow in the playoffs so far, which includes a combined 149 receiving yards in the Bengals' wins over the Las Vegas Raiders and Tennessee Titans.

Higgins and Boyd may be called upon by the second-year quarterback in crucial downs in the AFC title game against the Chiefs.
