Wide receiver Tyler Boyd is quickly becoming a star for the Cincinnati Bengals. However, it wasn't that long ago that the Clairton, Pennsylvania native was cheering on their rival team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, who the Bengals face on Monday.

Growing up roughly 15 miles from Pittsburgh, Boyd's first NFL team dons black and yellow. They also play at Heinz Field, where Boyd would play as a member of the Pittsburgh Panthers in college. He hasn't played there in two years though, as injuries have restricted him from doing so. Luckily on Monday, he will be.

“I'm excited because I haven't played on that field the past two years, and for me to finally get out there and show the people where I'm from how good of a player I still am is going to mean a lot,” Boyd said, via Tyler Dragon of the Cincinnati Enquirer. “It's Monday night and no one wants to put nothing bad on TV, so I'm going to go out and play my tail off.”

While Boyd is excited to play as a Bengal, his family will have a bit of a conflict on their hands: their hometown Steelers or Boyd? As the wide receiver mentions, they'll continue supporting him, but won't be upset if Pittsburgh walks out with a win.

“All my family still supports me. They are going to rock my jersey, but they are still going to cheer a little bit for the Steelers. But, as long as they've got my support, that's all that matters to me,” Boyd said.
