For the second consecutive week, Buffalo Bills running back Devin Singletary isn't expected to play, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Dealing with a hamstring injury, the rookie practiced leading up to Week 4, against the New England Patriots, but isn't likely to do anything more than pre-game routines.

Singletary suffered the hamstring injury late in Buffalo's 28-14 win over the New York Giants. For the season, the slippery rookie back has 10 rush attempts for 127 yards and a score. He has added in five receptions for 28 yards.

Singletary was listed as questionable on the injury report after practicing in a limited capacity on Thursday and Friday.  Without him, Buffalo will turn to the ageless Frank Gore, who had hoped Singletary would play on Sunday.

“I ain’t going to lie – we’ll see what (happens). I hope he can play,” Gore said, via Ryan Talbot of New York Upstate. “Because he helps this team a whole lot. But we have to make sure he’s 100 percent…

(I tell him) just keep a strong mind like he has been doing. He’s been here – the first guy in the training room doing everything that they tell him to do. He’ll be fine. He’s a young kid so he can bounce back. We got great trainers and they gonna do right by him.”

Gore isn't averaging over 12 yards a rush as Singletary is, but the 36-year-old remains a productive back. On 44 attempts, he's tallied 164 yards and two touchdowns; he's also caught four passes for 28 yards.

Both the Bills and Patriots are 3-0 heading into Sunday's much-anticipated matchup.
