Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy is coming into the offseason off one of the worst seasons of his career but General Manager Brandon Beane expects him to be back next season. McCoy is 30 years old and is entering the last year of his contract. He is owed only $6.2 million for next season but if he was to be cut it would only be a cap hit of $2.6 million.

“He is part of our plan,” Beane told reporters during Buffalo's post-mortem presser Monday via NFL.com. “You saw some plays he still made yesterday. I think if we can improve in other areas, that will help LeSean.

“I'm not a believer that LeSean is done. I know you're talking about his number is around $6 million. If he gets back to form and we get our offense going, I think he can still be a weapon.”

McCoy has been one of the best running backs in the league for many years but this year the production took a big dip. He rushed for a career-low 514 yards on 161 attempts and when Josh Allen was under center he really struggled. He also dealt with injuries this season and was benched at the beginning of the Bills week 16 game because of disciplinary reasons.

A lot could change this offseason and depending on who is available during free agency and the draft, plans could always change but right now it looks like McCoy and his $6.2 million salary is apart of the Bills plan for next year.
