In a bit of news that would definitely induce tremendous excitement from LeSean McCoy football fantasy team owners, ESPN’s Mike Rodak has reported that Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott is very much open to the possibility of deploying McCoy on the field on every snap this coming season.

“The workload, whatever it takes to win the game,” McDermott said. “That's how we play the game. We play to win, and whatever it takes to win the game, that's what we're going to do. If it means he's got to play every snap, that's what we'll do if he's feeling good, like it is for every player. I'll look him in the eye, say, ‘How do you feel? Feel good? OK, let's go.' No different with LeSean.”

Expecting to see McCoy appear on every offensive set for an entire season is, of course, impossible, but obviously, the running back is deemed the rock on which the team’s offense is built on.

A huge workload awaits McCoy, especially with a thin running back depth behind him. Last season, McCoy led the team with 1,267 rushing yards and 13 rushing scores on 234 carries.

Also a year ago, the Bills were second in the league in rushing play percentage, and the focus doesn’t seem to drastically change despite the coaching change from Rex Ryan to McDermott, as McCoy is still projected to get the keys on offense most of the time.

Buffalo will have to be careful on their usage of McCoy, however, as the nine-year veteran is already 29, which isn’t exactly a spring chicken age for a running back.
