Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott was reportedly blindsided by the news that receiver Stefon Diggs recently sustained an oblique injury. The situation eventually forced Diggs to see limited action in their practice yesterday, leading up to their Wild Card matchup against the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday, per Jon Scott.

Diggs didn't show signs of having an injury and was still his usual self in their most recent game against the Miami Dolphins. He eventually finished the encounter with tallies of 76 receiving yards on seven catches. The Bills ultimately dominated the Dolphins on their home turf en route to a 56-26 victory to end the regular season with a 13-3 record.

The Maryland product recently capped his first campaign in Buffalo with impressive performances all season long. He was recently hailed as the 2020 NFL receiving yards leader after totaling 1,535 receiving yards this season. He was also named as the 2020 NFL receptions leader after accounting for 127 catches through 16 games played with the Bills.

On the other hand, wide receiver Cole Beasley also suffered a knee injury late in their Week 16 tilt against the New England Patriots. He already sat out last week's game against the Dolphins and will continue to be evaluated for his availability against the Colts.

The Bills will be dealt with huge holes in their offense if their top two receivers in Diggs and Beasley won't get to suit up in their must-win game. Head coach Sean McDermott can only hope that both players will be available when they face Indianapolis as they open their playoff run on a strong note. However, they did sign Kenny Stills to the practice squad on Tuesday, which could come in handy if they need an extra receiver for the playoffs.
