PUBG Mobile is the latest esports title to collaborate with famous Kpop stars! BLACKPINK, the famous Kpop girl group, will take part in a show match this month! The official PUBG Mobile Twitter announced the exciting collaboration event featuring many Kpop personalities.

The big show match was first teased in September of this year. The tie-up campaign brought new and exciting events to the mobile battle royale game, including many BLACKPINK themed cosmetics to the title.

Players also had the chance to win signed BLACKPINK albums by giving gifts to the members of the girl group in-game, Jennie Kim, Kim Jisoo, Lisa Manoban, and Rosé Park. The character IDs for the BLACKPINK members were announced earlier this year as well. The event will also feature South Korean singer Kim Hee-chul, as well as popular streamers DDEDDEDDEDDE and BEENU.

This is far from the only Kpop esports collaboration this year. League of Legends superstar Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok was teased to take part in an event with the Kpop boy group, BTS. There was even news of famous Kpop girl group, TWICE, lending their voices for the new album of Riot Games' fictional girl group K/DA.

PUBG's collaboration with BLACKPINK and several other famous South Korean personalities is a good sign for esports as a whole. It is a sure sign of esports becoming widely accepted by non-esports fans. Hopefully, we'll see more tie-ups with all of our other favorite esports titles!

The event will be streamed on the official PUBG Mobile Facebook and YouTube channels sometime later this month.
