Two great players came together to create the Dame 7 shoe for Adidas. Portland Trail Blazers superstar Damian Lillard collaborated with Hall of Famer Shaquille O'Neal to devise this latest piece of NBA footwear.

Damian Lillard debuted the shoes last night in a win against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Damian Lillard described in an Instagram post that the “Damenosis” colorway was to pay tribue to Shaq's Shaqnosis colorway he wore during his career.

It makes sense for Damian Lillard to team up with Shaq as they have both been rappers off the court. He later said in his post “If we are talking about my journey in music, it’s only right to pay tribute to the first NBA player to do it big in music. Salute!”

While you may think it was a regular game against the Lakers it was not. This game was vital as the Blazers now hold the tiebreaker over the Lakers in the standings. Portland moved up to sixth in the western conference dropping the Lakers down to seventh where they would have to be in the play-in tournament.

Damian Lillard shined in this game as he finished with 38 points and 7 assists. Although the Lakers fans shouldn't be worried about the play-in tournament, it's nice for Portland to move up.

Both teams have a tough schedule moving forward but the Blazers have the upper hand as they are one game above and hold the tie breaker. Damian Lillard and CJ Mccollum will look to make a deeper playoff run after a disappointing 2020 playoffs where they lost in 5 to the Lakers. If those two stars play well, Portland can make a deep run.
