Portland Trail Blazers superstar point guard Damian Lillard says he doesn't expect to receive credit or love anymore moving forward.

Lillard, arguably the hottest player in the Orlando bubble, claims he has his own stuff that he's playing for and doesn't care what the critics are saying about him and the Blazers:

“At this point in my career, bruh, I don’t expect no credit,” the Blazers star said to Marcus Thompson II of The Athletic.

“I don’t expect no love. Because I don’t do what I do for them to judge me a certain way. I have my own reasons for what I do. I have my own stuff I want to accomplish. I want my coach to keep his job. I want my teammates to be rewarded with good contracts. I want to be a winning player. I want my teammates to enjoy playing with me and feel like they’re a part of something special. All that stuff matters to me. Making sure I stay true to who I am as a person and being real about everything.”

Lillard won the seeding games MVP in unanimous fashion. He now has the Blazers gearing up for a first-round matchup against LeBron James, Anthony Davis and the Los Angeles Lakers, who have the best record in the Western Conference.

Lillard has said time and time again he wants to retire with the Blazers and has no aspirations of leaving Portland to form a superteam. The five-time All-Star is going to live and die with the Blazers, and it appears he's content in Portland and happy with his surroundings.

The Blazers star would obviously love to win a championship, though. While that's unlikely this season, don't count Lillard out as he continues to get better and better in the prime of his career.
