For the World Series-winning Atlanta Braves, the hardware just keeps coming in. Four Braves have won a 2021 Silver Slugger Award, which ties the record for the second-most winners on one team in a single season.

The Braves also had four Silver Slugger winners last year, but only one of those players — first baseman Freddie Freeman — repeated the feat. Second baseman Ozzie Albies, third baseman Austin Riley and pitcher Max Fried each took home the award. This is Albies' second Silver Slugger Award and the first for both Riley and Fried.

Freeman, who has now won the award thrice, is one more Silver Slugger away from matching Albert Pujols, Todd Helton and Paul Goldschmidt for the most all-time for a first baseman. The 2020 MVP posted a slash line 0f .300/.393/.503 with 180 hits (the most among players in the Naitonal Legaue at his position) and 31 home runs.

Riley joined Chipper Jones, a two-time Silver Slugger, as the only third basemen in Atlanta history to win the award. His .898 OPS and 179 hits led all major league third basemen. He also recorded 33 home runs, the most on the Braves.

For second basemen, Albies ranked first in runs batted in at 106 and also ranked in the top 10 across Major League Baseball in home runs (30), OPS (.799), slugging percentage (.488) and hits (163). He previously won the award in 2019.

In 55 at bats, Fried tallied 15 hits, which are the most for a pitcher in MLB (keep in mind that Shohei Ohtani bats as a designated hitter). His OPS of .649 was the fourth most amongst pitchers with at least 1o at bats.
