The Denver Broncos starting quarterback Teddy Bridgewater left the game with a leg injury in the first half vs the Los Angeles Chargers. Bridgewater's injury is listed as a lower leg injury. He is questionable to return.

The Denver Broncos entered the game Sunday vs the Los Angeles Chargers in last place in the AFC West, but still had hopes of winning the division. The first place Kansas City Chiefs are only a game and a half ahead of the Broncos, with plenty of season left.

In 2016, Bridgewater suffered what could have been a career ending injury. He dislocated his knee and tore his ACL prior to the start of the 2016 NFL season as a member of the Minnesota Vikings. Many were uncertain if he would ever play in the NFL again.

Bridgewater not only returned to the NFL, but landed a starting job with Denver. He has played the same role he always has. He is efficient with the ball, mobile with his legs and does not turn the ball over much.

But with just over two minutes left in the 1st quarter of Sunday's game, Chargers defensive back Derwin James came free on a blitz from Bridgewater's blind side.

Broncos backup quarterback Drew Lock entered the game following the injury. Lock led the Broncos down the field for another touchdown as the Broncos have jumped out to a 14-0 lead.

A win would go a long way towards Denver making the playoffs against the division rival.
