Denver Broncos head coach Vance Joseph is scoffing at the idea that anyone on his team has given up. That, despite the team falling apart, his players remain committed to winning and all that jazz.

“I don’t believe that at all,” Joseph said, via ESPN.com. “If you watch our football games, I always watch [the] last five to 10 plays, I show the guys those plays, I show the guys flying around, that’s proof that guys are still playing to win. … The guys we put on the field are trying to win football games and no one has given up.”

The Broncos aren't bad because of a lack of effort. It is due to the fact that Denver has zero good options at the quarterback position. Not a single decent one, honestly.

While the defense has aged slightly, it isn't nearly as awful as the total points allowed number would indicate. Often, because the offense can't stay on the field, Denver's defense is forced to be on the field in bunches. Not to mention that, thanks to turnovers or the offense's inability to move the ball down the field, opposing teams start with great field position.

Nevertheless, the Broncos have a tough task ahead of them this offseason. Vance Joseph needs some help with a roster that is good at nearly every position … except the most important one.

Get Denver a competent gunslinger, John Elway!
