Just before halftime of Thursday Night Football between the Denver Broncos and Cleveland Browns, Broncos linebacker Von Miller left the game with a leg injury. After colliding with teammate Dre'Mont Jones while pressuring Browns quarterback Case Keenum, Miller limped off the field and is now questionable to return.

After missing the entire 2020 season with a severe ankle tendon injury, Miller had played the first six games of the 2021 season, recording a team-leading 4.5 sacks and eight quarterback hits to go along with 17 tackles. At age 32, seeing Miller suffer a scary injury is extra worrisome.

The eight-time Pro Bowler had helped the Broncos put together a promising defense so far. Entering tonight's game, Denver had allowed the fourth-fewest yards per game and fourth-fewest points per game. In a division up for grabs at the moment, the blow to one of their captains hurts worse for Denver. For the time being, the Broncos will have to lean more heavily on Jonathan Cooper and Malik Reed to generate pass rushing.

Miller spoke earlier in the week about how amped he was for this game. He has been one of the faces of the Broncos for a decade, making his mark as one of the best defensive players of his era.
