Case Keenum has certainly had better years than the one he had last year, but now, the Denver Broncos quarterback is at a bit of a crossroads.

According to The Athletic, the Broncos are now weighing their options with the quarterback, especially since they recently snagged Joe Flacco in a trade with the Baltimore Ravens.

“The Broncos’ best hope is that multiple teams will be interested and they can leverage that to get a conditional seventh-round pick in exchange and offset some of his guaranteed salary. Or they could hold onto him and use their rights as leverage; either he agrees to revise his deal and stay on as a backup, or they release him well after the first wave of free agency.”

Case Keenum is someone who doesn't seem to thrive well, no matter which team he's on, which is why the Broncos need to wait until the end of the first wave of free agency before releasing him.

FanSided explains more about the dire straits Keenum's career is in.

“If Minnesota doesn’t want to re-sign Siemian and would like to add another veteran to their quarterback room this year, Keenum should not be among their possible options. As much as he may provide what they want in a backup signal-caller, he would bring a lot more baggage with him to the Vikings than any other free-agent on the market this offseason.”

It sounds like the Broncos may have a lot to figure out when it comes to Keenum's future with the team.
