Shockingly, Twitter was not too kind to Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield after he somehow missed a wide-open Rashard Higgins coming over the middle for what should have been an easy touchdown.
The Browns settled for a field goal after Mayfield's miss.
“Baker Mayfield just had the worst miss for a supposedly decent QB you will ever see. That's horrid,” one user said.
The jokes kept on coming at Mayfield's expense after his inexplicable incompletion in that Browns play.

Mayfield has struggled with accuracy all season, illustrated by the fact that he currently ranks 30th in completion percentage (60.8%) amongst qualified quarterbacks.
As Robby Kalland of Uproxx Sports noted, Mayfield's inaccuracy could have something to do with his unpolished footwork, which continues to be a weakness in the former no. 1 overall pick's game.
absolutely losing my mind at the footwork here. this looks like someone who has never played qb before trying to throw https://t.co/mZo2MpcVkj

As Cleveland.com's Chris Fedor pointed out, Mayfield actually had two receivers open on the play.
Oh Baker. Had two guys wide open for a TD on the same play. Instead, it leads to a field goal.

At the time of writing, the Browns lead the tanking Jacksonville Jaguars (1-9), 17-13, late in the second quarter. Mayfield has largely bounced back from his miscue, as he has completed 10 of 15 passes for 146 yards and two touchdowns. The former Heisman Trophy winner has tossed TDs to Browns wideout Jarvis Landry and tight end Austin Hooper.
Baker Mayfield is not good. Kind of amazing the Browns are poised to improve to 8-3 this season with the way he's playing.

Despite Baker Mayfield's struggles this season, the Browns have stumbled their way to a 7-3 record and look poised to make the playoffs for the first time since 2002.
