The Cleveland Browns are considered by some as Super Bowl contenders. While the offense is getting all of the praise, the defense led by Myles Garrett is also expected to be elite.

While talking about the defense, Christian Kirksey says Myles Garrett is trying to become the NFL's best defensive end. The sixth-year linebacker sees Garrett being a key playmaker for the defense again in 2019.

“Myles is trying to be great, you got to respect it,’’ he said. “He’s only going into Year 3, which is amazing. He’s trying to be the best defensive end in the league, and you got to respect it. He’s going to ramp it up a notch, he’s going to ramp up the intensity and be a huge playmaker for us.’’

Garrett is entering his third season in the NFL and so far, he's shown the potential to be one of the league's best edge rushers. In his rookie season, Garrett had seven sacks, nine tackles for loss, and 18 hits on the quarterback.

People wondered how Garrett would improve his game in 2018 but he came in and dominated in Week 1. Among Garrett's 13.5 sacks in 2018, he had two of them against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 1. Plus, he had two forced fumbles on Ben Roethlisberger.

Kirksey isn't the only one who believes Garrett could rise to stardom in the upcoming season. Recently, Garrett was announced as the 49th best player in the NFL's Top 100 Players list on NFL Network.

For now, he may be ranked the 49th-best player, but soon he could be considered the NFL's best defensive end.
