Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. once again didn't practice with the Cleveland Browns on Wednesday. According to ESPN's Dan Graziano, Beckham is dealing with a hip pointer injury.

“Browns WR Odell Beckham Jr. sat out the team portion of practice Wednesday with what I am told is a hip pointer. Team is not concerned about a long-term absence. Odell attended practice and took part in individual drills. Possible he gets back in team stuff tomorrow, not certain.”

Browns head coach Freddie Kitchens says the injury is minor.

Kitchen said on Wednesday, per Cleveland.com's Mary Kay Cabot: “He’s got a little bit of something going on but we expect him back pretty soon.”

After Cabot asked if it'll be a challenge to get him up to speed, Kitchens said, “I think he’ll be ready to go mentally. He’s ready to go mentally. We’ve got to wait and get him ready to go physically, but he’ll be there.”

Physioworks.com describes the injury below:

A hip pointer is a contusion [bruise] on the iliac crest [top of hip bone] or across the greater trochanter [most prominent aspect on the outside of hip] as a result of direct trauma. Sometimes this can be accompanied by an avulsion injury, where a small fragment of bone is torn away by the attached muscle. Bleeding and swelling are a result of the injury and cause pain with hip movements.

Beckham has missed six 11-on-11 practices, according to Cabot. The Browns rested him for their preseason opener against the Washington Redskins last Thursday. With the report of the hip pointer injury, he's likely set to be out Saturday against the Indianapolis Colts.
