When the Cleveland Browns acquired wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. in a trade with the New York Giants back in March, the NFL world instantly began salivating over the prospect of watching Baker Mayfield throwing to both Beckham and Jarvis Landry.

Count Browns wide receivers coach Adam Henry among those people:

“It could be pretty special, but again, we've got a long way to go,” Henry told reporters Thursday, according to Nick Shook of the Browns' official team website. “It's something that you look forward to and potentially on paper, it's something that's good. But just getting the rapport, the me to you, things of that nature. We've got a quarterback that can throw it with great leadership, and with Freddie's mind and play-calling we'll be in a good situation.”

Beckham's decision not to attend Browns organized team activities has seemed to rub the team the wrong way, as head coach Freddie Kitchens said that the wide out missed “a lot,” and when asked to clarify, he said “the offense.”

However, given Beckham's previous behavior with the Giants, this should not come as much of a surprise, as Beckham has long been known to train on his own during the offseason.

But Beckham says he will be at mandatory minicamp on June 3, which is when Cleveland will finally get a taste of what its potentially dynamic offense can be like in 2019.

Beckham made the Pro Bowl in each of his first three NFL seasons, but the last two years, he has played a combined 16 games as a result of various injuries.
